Today, at Sikkim House in New Delhi, the Commissioner and Joint Secretary of Lokbhawan, Shri Jitendra Singh Raje, paid a courtesy call on the Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Dushyant Gautam, and provided a detailed briefing on the current status and priorities of the state.
During the meeting, the Secretary briefed the Hon'ble Governor on the current status of the major infrastructure development projects underway in the state, various communities, and connectivity (roads, air, and rail networks).
He also provided an update on the state's public welfare schemes and the latest status of organic farming and environmental conservation under 'Green Sikkim'.
In addition, he briefed the Governor on the expansion of education and health facilities in the state, efforts to promote tourism, and the future priorities and plans.
The Governor also received guidance from the Secretary on the administrative functioning of Lokbhawan and the outline of upcoming official programs.
