1. About Official State Portal of the Government of Sikkim
 
The Official Portal of the Government of Sikkim has been designed, developed and hosted by the Department of Information Technology (DIT), Govt. of Sikkim. This portal acts as a single point of access for the G2B and G2C transactions offered by the Government of Sikkim through its consituent departments. The objective behind the Portal is to provide a single window access to the information and services being provided by the Government for the citizens and other stakeholders. This portal also educates about the rights of the citizens, benefits and schemes offered by the Government of Sikkim as well as the eligibility requirements for availing those benefits. The content in this Portal is the result of a collaborative effort of various Sikkim Government Departments, at the State/District level. It is our endeavour to continue the enhancement and enrichment of this Portal in terms of content coverage, design and technology on a regular basis.

2. What are the different e-services provided through the State Portal?
 
The Services provided through this portal includes e-Services which are quintessentially the online services offered by the various Departments under the Government of Sikkim. 3. Is the portal disability friendly?

All pages in the website has been made Disability Friendly as per the guidelines of the GIGW.

Customized Text Size - The size of the text on the web pages is customizable. The users will be able to increase or decrease the size of the text as per their requirement.

Adjust Contrast Theme - The State Portal has been developed with different themes to enable users with visual impairments, vision and color blindness to view the  web pages information with ease. Different contrast themes includes Standard, Back and Yellow. White or bright yellow objects or print against a black background usually provide strongest color contrast. Solid colors has been used as backgrounds to make the objects "stand out". Usage of patterns, prints or strips has been avoided. Light color objects has been placed against darker backgrounds.

Alternate Text - Brief description of an image has been provided for users with visual disability. If a user with visual disability is using a browser that supports only text or have turned off the image display, they can still know what image it is by reading the alternate text.

5. Do you have a mobile application for the state portal?

Yes, there is a mobile app for the State Portal. Currently it has been made available for Android Operating system only. The users will be able to download the mobile app from Playstore by typing
