First District-Level Training on Water Security Held in Pakyong Block.
Pakyong, October 14: The first district-level training programme on Water Security was conducted in Pakyong Block on 12 October 2026, marking an important step towards strengthening water resource management and ensuring systematic data collection across the district.
The training was conducted by Mr. Ashish Vikram Jain, Founder of BETWA Solution, and focused on three key components: Spring Inventorization, Household Survey, and the M-Water Application for Data Collection.
The sessions aimed to familiarise participants with the process of spring inventorization, the procedures for conducting household surveys, and the use of the M-Water application for efficient and systematic data collection. These activities are expected to support the collection of reliable field-level information for better planning, assessment, and management of water resources.
The programme was attended by 20 BFEs and 41 DDMS staff members from Pakyong, who participated in the training to enhance their understanding and practical knowledge of the data collection process under the Water Security initiative.
This programme marks the first round of Water Security training in Pakyong Block. Further training sessions will be conducted in the coming days to extend the initiative and strengthen the capacity of personnel involved in its implementation across the district.
The initiative underscores the importance of accurate data, community-level surveys, and systematic documentation in supporting sustainable water resource management and long-term water security in the district.
