Advances vision of a “ Jhopari Mukt Sikkim under SGAY Schemes, Daramdin, 6 Oct 2026. In line with the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang and the Government's commitment towards a “ Jhopari Mukt Sikkim”, houses were successfully constructed and handed over to beneficiaries across various GPUs of the Daramdin Constituency under the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana(SGAY)scheme.
The initiative was carried out under the guidance and support of Hon’ble MLA and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Shri Mingma Narbu Sherpa, and aimed at providing safe, permanent, and dignified housing to economically weaker families. The program was also graced by:
1. BDO, Daramdin, Mrs Anushuiya Pradhan.
2. SISCO Bank Adviser Mr C. N. Sharma.
3. OSD M.K. Rai to area MLA cum Speaker.
4.P.K.Subba (ST)
7. Ward Panchayat member Mrs Sukmit Lepcha.
8. Publicity Secretary Mrs Chetna Sharma.

Under the SGAY Scheme, beneficiaries were provided not only with newly constructed houses but also with essential household items, including flat-screen televisions, tables, drawers, sofas, and other necessities to support comfortable living.
The beneficiaries under the scheme are:

2. Aita Bdr.Subba, Ward No. (4)Tikpur.
3. Bhim Bdr.Lepcha Ward no (4)Tikpur.
4. Suk Raj Subba, Ward No. (4)Tikpur.
5. Bsl Bdr Subba, Ward No. (5)Tikpur.
6. Sangay Chewang Sherpa, Ward No. (2)Sapreynagy.
Expressing gratitude, all the beneficiaries thanked Honourable Chief Minister Mr.Prem Singh Tamang and Honourable MLA and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Shri M.N. Sherpa, for making the dream of a permanent home a reality.
