Sikkim Night Run 2026 Brings Runners Together for a Vibrant 5-Km Night Race in Pakyong.
Pakyong, Sikkim | October 2, 2026:
The Sikkim Night Run 2026, a unique 5-km night running event, was held today at Pakyong, bringing together running enthusiasts, youth and members of the community for an evening dedicated to fitness, energy and camaraderie.
Organised by the UPYC Organising Committee under Run Bengthang, the event was designed to promote a healthy and active lifestyle while creating an engaging platform for the local community and running enthusiasts to come together.
The programme was graced by SIMFED Chairman Shri Tenzing Dorjee Bhutia as the Chief Guest, while Shri Rinzing Chophel, Chairman, State Sports, attended as the Guest of Honour.
The presence of the distinguished guests added significance to the event and encouraged the participants to embrace fitness, sportsmanship and community participation.
The organising team comprised Ayush Pyakurel, Abisekh Pradhan, Sujan Chettri, Nim Dorjee, Sahil Gurung and Purushotam, with Shri Bikash Sir of Bengthang Pacheykhani, a social worker, also supporting the initiative.
The 5-km night race provided participants with an exciting and energetic running experience under the night sky, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for fitness and sporting activities in Sikkim.
The organisers expressed their gratitude to all participants, guests, volunteers and supporters for contributing to the successful conduct of the Sikkim Night Run 2026, and expressed hope that such community-based sporting initiatives would continue to encourage greater participation in fitness and outdoor activities.
