Coordination Meeting Held for Aama Sashaktikaran Yojana Benefit Distribution & Panchayat Paramarsha Sabha at Yangang
Yangang, September 29 : Under the direction of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), a coordination meeting was held today at the CLC Party Office, Yangang, to review preparations for two important upcoming programmes in the 15-Rangang-Yangang Constituency — the Sikkim Aama Sashaktikaran Yojana Benefit Distribution Programme and the Panchayat Paramarsha Sabha.
The meeting was chaired by Hon’ble Area MLA-cum-Deputy Speaker Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa and attended by Shri Bikash Basnet, Political Secretary to HCM; Shri Tengyala Namkha Bhutia, CLC President; Shri C.L. Gurung, Advisor; Smt. Denkila Bhutia, OSD to HMLA; Shri S.B. Rai, OSD to Agriculture; Smt. Needay Bhutia, BDO Yangang; Shri Subash Tamang (Jojo), Social Worker; Smt. Parmila Tamang, District Vice President; Shri Gopal Timsina, CLC General Secretary, along with CLC Advisors and members, Zilla Panchayat representatives, Panchayat representatives, BLC and WLC representatives, and party karyakartas.
For the Sikkim Aama Sashaktikaran Yojana Benefit Distribution Programme, Yangang Senior Secondary School Hall has been finalised as the venue for beneficiaries from Kolthang-Lingmoo GPU, Nia-Mangzing GPU, Sripatam-Gagyong GPU and Rangang-Yangang GPU on 3 October 2026. Similarly, the cheque distribution for Rakey-Sangmoo GPU and Ravang-Khop GPU will be held on 4 October 2026 at Ravangla Parking Plaza Hall. Detailed discussions were held regarding volunteer deployment, beneficiary coordination, reception and seating arrangements, and other logistical requirements to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the programmes.
The Aama Sashaktikaran Yojana is a women-centric initiative aimed at providing financial support to mothers and strengthening their financial independence and dignity. The distribution ahead of the Dasain festival is also expected to provide timely assistance to beneficiary Aamas during the festive season.
The meeting further reviewed preparations for the Panchayat Paramarsha Sabha, being organised by the Panchayat Cell of the SKM Party, scheduled for 8 October 2026 at the Community Hall, Upper Yangang, for the Rangang-Yangang Constituency.
The programme will mark the final round of the Panchayat Paramarsha Sabhas organised by the Panchayat Cell. It will include the felicitation of former Panchayat representatives in recognition of their grassroots-level service, along with interaction and consultation on various Panchayat-related matters. Discussions concerning the upcoming Panchayat elections will also form part of the programme.
The Sabha is expected to bring together former and present Panchayat representatives, grassroots functionaries and party karyakartas on a common platform for consultation and coordination on matters related to Panchayati Raj institutions and grassroots public service in the Rangang-Yangang Constituency.
