SCERT Sikkim Director and Faculty Participate in Mid-Term Review Meeting of National Population Education Project of NCERT
Director SCERT Sikkim Dr Shanti Ram Adhikari, accompanied by Dr N T Lepcha, Assistant Professor, SCERT are attending three days Mid Term Review Meeting of the National Population Education Project of NCERT being held from 27th - 29th September 2026 at Hotel Golden Tulip, Mandrem - North Goa.
The meeting is being organised to review the progress of various Programs and Activities including Research Studies being conducted by NPEP Cells of SCERTs, State Institute of Education (SIEs) and Regional Institute of Education (RIEs) on various Problems and Challenges faced by adolescent students. The Programme is being attended by Project Directors and Project Coordinators of the NPEP Project from all states, Union Territories and 5 Regional Institutes of Education.
The inaugural session of the programme was chaired by Prof. P. C. Agarwal, JD NCERT, in the presence of Prof. Vijay Mallick and Prof. Harish Meena of NCERT, and SCERT Directors of Goa, Rajasthan and Sikkim. Director, NCERT, Prof. Dinesh Prasad Shaklani, and Prof. Gauri Shrivastava, National Coordinator of NPEP, also virtually attended the inaugural session and addressed the participants. The other virtual attendees included Prof. Amarendra Behra, Joint Director, Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), and Dr Deepak Paliwal, Joint Director, Pandit Sunderlal Sharma Central Institute of Vocational Education (PSSCIVE), Bhopal, the constituent units of NCERT.
