UDD Soreng Conducts Awareness Programme on Solid Waste Management at Govt. Sec. School Deythang.
Soreng, 19th September 2026:
The Urban Development Department (UDD), Soreng, conducted a one-day awareness programme on Solid Waste Management at Government Secondary School, Deythang, Soreng District, on 19th September 2026.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the respected Bazaar Officer, Mrs. MaryGold Lucksom, along with the staff of UDD Soreng. The awareness programme focused on creating awareness among the students about the importance of proper waste segregation, responsible disposal of waste, cleanliness, and maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
The students were encouraged to adopt responsible waste management practices in their daily lives and to act as ambassadors of cleanliness within their homes, schools, and communities. The programme also highlighted the importance of reducing waste generation and promoting sustainable practices for a cleaner and greener Soreng.
