Alumni Meet of PM Shri Senior Secondary School, Pelling to Celebrate Batch Memories from 1964–2025.
Gyalshing, 30 August: Alumni Meet bringing together former students and batch mates of PM Shri Senior Secondary School, Pelling, representing batches from 1964 to 2025, was organised at the school premises today.
The programme was organised to provide a platform for former students to reconnect with their alma mater, meet old friends and batch mates, and share their memories and experiences of their school days.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address from Mr. J P Limboo, former student, followed by a presentation of the General Report from Alumni Association President Mr. S. W. Bhutia.
The programme was also addressed by School Principal Mrs Yangden Shipmoo who also presented the Overall School Report and several initiatives undertaken by the Alumni Association towards the support and development of additional school infrastructure. She expressed her deep gratitude for the active support received from the Alumni Association.
The programme also featured an interaction among the alumni members and former schoolteachers both physicallyand video conferencing. Former students from different batches shared their experiences and fond memories of their time at the school. The gathering witnessed enthusiastic participation from alumni representing various batches, making the occasion a memorable reunion.
The event also featured the felicitation of distinguished alumni and interaction with the present students and teachers. The alumni expressed their appreciation for the school and discussed ways in which former students could contribute towards the continued development and progress of their alma mater.
The Alumni Meet served as a nostalgic occasion for the former students to revisit their school memories, strengthen their bonds, and reconnect with the institution that played an important role in their formative years.
Alumni General Secretary, Mr. Phigu Tshering Bhutia conducted the programme, which finally concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Narayan Khatiwara followed by a group photograph of the alumni, batch mates, teachers and guests.
