AYUSH Outreach Screening Health Camp Conducted at Lower Pakkigaon,Soreng District.

The AYUSH Department, Soreng PHC, successfully conducted an AYUSH Outreach Screening Camp at Smajghaar, Lower Pakkigaon, on 13th August 2026, with the aim of promoting preventive healthcare and early detection of common health conditions.
A total of 61 beneficiaries participated in the programme. Key screening findings included 5 new cases of hypertension, 4 new cases of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, 11 cases of Osteoarthritis and 2 cases of severe anaemia. Among the participants, 19 were above 60 years of age.
The camp also included Nikshay Shivir TB screening, strengthening community-level screening and awareness for tuberculosis.
Homeopathic consultations and free distribution of Homeopathic medicines were provided, along with counselling on nutrition, lifestyle modification, regular physical activity, yoga and prevention of non-communicable diseases. Beneficiaries requiring further evaluation were advised appropriate follow-up.
The programme concluded successfully with active community participation, reaffirming the commitment of AYUSH Department, Soreng PHC towards accessible, preventive and holistic healthcare.
