VEHICLE MOVEMENT RESTRICTION ORDER (U/S 159 (2) OF SIKKIM POLICE ACT. 2008), by Superintendent of Police Soreng District Mr Nahkul Pradhan
(a) Complete closure of the road from Soreng Malbasey road at Pakkigaon to Budang Chumbung w.e.f. 08/07/2026 till the completion of upgradation work for all heavy vehicles.
(b) This order is exempted to School Bus, Ambulance, Dairy product carrier vehicles, Fire 7 Emergency Services vehicle, Relief & Rescue vehicles for Disaster Management and troop carrier vehicles of Paramilitary Forces and other emergency vehicles.
The alternate route for all heavy vehicles are as under:
1. Nayabazar to 5th Mile SNT Budang to Soreng via Chumbung.
2. Nayabazar Baiguney to Soreng via Gelling, Chakung.
3. Nayabazar Baiguney to Daramdin via Gelling, Chakung, Soreng, Timburbong.
4. Nayabazar to 5th Mile SNT Budang to Daramdin via Chumbong, Soreng, Timberbong.
This shall come into effect from 08/07/2026 till the completion of upgradation work, in public interest.
