Soreng, July 2: A hands-on training programme on AgriStack (Farmers Registry) was successfully conducted on 2nd July at RURBAN COMPLEX RDD, Soreng District by the Agriculture Department for the implementation of the Farmers Registry component of AgriStack.
The programme had the presence of SDM Shri Prem Kumar Subba(HQ) Soreng District, Additional Director FC Section Shri Pratap Subba, Joint Director IT Shri Bikram Rai and his team, RO Soreng Subdivision Shri Lok Nath Tewari, RO MangalbariaSubdivision Shri Karma Kunzang Zigdal, Deputy Director Agriculture Department Shri Manish Pradhan, ADO Amimsha Limboo and Officials, Inspectors as well as field staffs from Agriculture, Horticulture and Land Revenue Department.
The programme commenced with an inaugural address by Deputy Director Mr Manish Pradhan Agriculture Department, Soreng District, who gave a brief summary of the AgriStack (Farmers Registry) initiative. He highlighted its objectives, significance, and operational procedures, emphasizing the need for developing a reliable and comprehensive database for farmers.
Shri Bikram Rai, Joint Director, IT Krishi Bhawan provided a detailed hands-on training session where participants received guidance on the Farmers Registry platform, including registration procedures, land record and name match verification, operational processes and field-level implementation. The participants had an interactive session where queries were raised and subsequently clarified. SDM (Hq) Shri Prem Kumar Subba highlighted the importance of the program towards strengthening farmer database and the ultimate upliftment of the district. He stated effective coordination between all departments as necessary to bridge any gaps in the process of implementing the AgriStack initiative.
The training programme concluded successfully with a brief overview of the AgriStack initiative where the importance of timely execution of the app activity for Farmer Registry was highlighted by ADO Miss Amimsha Limboo.
