Observation of Fire Safety Week( 4th May-10th May) at District Hospital Mangan.
Mangan, May 10: District Hospital Mangan observed Fire Safety Week with the objective of creating awareness regarding fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and safety measures among healthcare workers and hospital staff.
The programme was conducted in collaboration with the officials of the Mangan Fire Station.
The training and live demonstration session was led by Station aFire Officer (SFO) Incharge, Mr. Chopel Dorjee Bhutia, along with LFM Mr. Chetan and the team of fire station officials. The programme witnessed the participation of doctors, nurses, hospital staff, attendants, and support staff of District Hospital Mangan.
During the session, the fire officials explained the importance of fire safety in healthcare institutions and educated the participants on identifying fire hazards, preventive measures, and the proper use of firefighting equipment. Practical demonstrations on handling fire extinguishers, evacuation procedures, and emergency response during fire incidents were also conducted.
The programme proved to be highly informative and beneficial for all attendees, enhancing their knowledge and preparedness towards fire safety and emergency management within the hospital premises.
