Gangtok, 7th May: HDFC Bank Ltd, under the CSR initiative, has taken steps to upgrade the health facility in the state of Sikkim. They have taken for upgradation/ renovation and strengthening of the 6 PHCs (Primary Health Sub Centre) in the state of Sikkim in the Gangtok District under the guidance of the  District Collector,   Shri Tushar Nikhare.
The bank has taken the step of upgradation/renovation and strengthening of the following 6 PHC’s
1) Tumlabong PHC
2) Samdong PHC
3) Sang PHC
4) Ranka PHC
5) Lindok PHC
6) Rumtek PHC
The scope of work broadly includes
1) Civil renovation and repair of existing hospital structures
2) Upgradation of sanitation, water supply and hygiene facilities
3) Electrical, lighting and basic utility improvements
4) Refurbishment of OPD areas, patient waiting zones and staff rooms
5) Minor layout optimisation for better service delivery.
