A general coordination meeting was conducted this morning by the Ecclesiastical Department with Sikkim’s monastic authorities in the august and gracious presence of HE Kyabje Lachung Rinpoche, HE Chogtruel Lachung Tulku, HE Chogtruel Dawa Zangpo, Hon’ble Minister Ven. Sonam Lama, representatives of the Denjong Goenchen-Thrug (Six Premier Monasteries of Sikkim) and the Enchey Gonpa, the Drodubchen Trust, line departments (Police, Power,IPR, PHE, Education, Forest , GMC etc.), and various Buddhist associations from different Sikkimese communities was held today at the Chorten Gonpa / Monastery of Deorali towards preparations for arrangements to bring the sacred reliquary Kudung of His Holiness the 4th Kyabgon Dodrubchen Rinpoche  from the Lukshyama Royal Crematorium campus’s Tsamkhang to the Chorten Gonpa, the seat of His Holiness. His Holiness had passed away in 2022.
The Sacred Kudung of His Holiness shall be brought from Lukshyama to the Deorali Chorten Gonpa with traditional sacred Serbang receptions from major and minor Sikkimese monasteries, as well as from Bhutanese monasteries, on May 24th, 2026.
After installing the Kudung Rinpoche at Chorten Gonpa, the same will be preserved as ‘Mardung’ for the spiritual benefit of all sentient beings.
