The Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association is proud to announce that Ten (10) promising boxers from Sikkim, which includes seven boys and four girls, will represent the state at the 7th (U-17) Junior Boys & Girls National Boxing Championship 2026, Nagpur, Maharashtra, from 4th April to 12th April.  
The selected boxers represent all 6 districts and their respective weight categories are as follows:
GIRLS- BOXERS
1. Banashree Rai – 46–48 kg
2. Nandini Kumari – 48–50 kg
3. Sonam Choden Bhutia – 52–54 kg
4. Stella Rai – 66–70 kg

BOYS- BOXERS
1. Keshav Adhikari – 44–46 kg
2. Prabin Dahal – 46–48 kg
3. Sayal Kami – 50–52 kg
4. Biraj Gahatraj – 60–63 kg
5. Pratik Chettri – 63–70 kg
6. Prayanshu Rai – +80 kg
The team will be lead by the Head Coach of the Khelo India Excellence Centre, Reshithang Gangtok, Sikkim, Ms. Sunita Chettri, Asst Coach Pravin Chettri & Manager Kumar Tamang, whose guidance and experience continue to inspire and shape the future of boxing in Sikkim.
This prestigious national-level championship, organized under the aegis of the Boxing Federation of India, will see participation from Junior boxers across the states. The selection of these athletes reflects their hard work, discipline, and consistent performances at various levels of competition.
The team is flagged off with best wishes by the president of Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association (SABA) Shri Jaslal Pradhan, Arjuna Awardee and the General Secretary of SABA Ms. Anjana Thapa, ahead of the upcoming Championship.
The Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association extends its heartfelt best wishes to all the boxers and expresses confidence that the team will perform with determination, sportsmanship, and pride, bringing honour to the state.
