Labour Minister Attends 52nd SBOCW Welfare Board Meeting.
Hon’ble Labour Minister Shri Bhim Hang Limboo attended the 52nd meeting of the Sikkim Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board at Shram Bhawan, Gangtok.
The Labour Minister was accorded a warm welcome by the Secretary of the Labour Department and other officials.
During the board meeting, various agendas were discussed concerning the welfare of labourers working across the state. The Labour Secretary, who is also the Member Secretary, Shri Bhim Thatal, presented his insightful suggestions and views, which were highly knowledgeable and informative.
Furthermore, the Labour Minister-cum-Chairman of the Board shared valuable suggestions and feedback in his address regarding the welfare of labourers across the state. He emphasised that workers should benefit from schemes implemented by the Board in their favour.
He also expressed deep concern for labourers working in the field and stressed that they should receive proper benefits and government support, as they are the backbone of society and play a crucial role in nation-building.
The meeting was attended by Labour Secretary-cum-Member Secretary Shri Bhim Thatal, Labour Commissioner Shri Kashi Raj Subba, and Additional Labour Commissioner Smt. Tashi Lhamu Sherpa, Deputy Labour Commissioner Shri Sonam Pinsto Lepcha, Assistant Labour Commissioner Shri Navin Sharma, Board members including Chief Engineer (Roads & Bridges) Shri Karma Y. Bhutia, and representatives from GREF, NHPC, Sikkim Urja, and PWD workers.
The meeting concluded successfully with a vote of thanks delivered by Assistant Labour Commissioner Shri Navin Sharma.
