Courtesy Call to Hon’ble Minister of Cooperation, Government of Sikkim by Delegation from the Cooperation Department, Uttarakhand.
A delegation from the Government of Uttarakhand, led by the Secretary, Cooperation Department of Uttarakhand, called on the Hon’ble Minister for Cooperation, Government of Sikkim, as part of their official exposure visit to the State.
During the meeting, the delegation held fruitful discussions with the Hon’ble Minister on various aspects of the cooperative sector. The interaction focused on sharing experiences, best practices, and institutional approaches adopted by both States in strengthening the cooperative movement.
The delegation also apprised Hon’ble Minister of their visit to Temi Tea Employees Welfare Cooperative Society, Lamaten Tingmoo Organic Cooperative Society, SIMFED and SISCO Bank Ltd.
The Hon’ble Minister welcomed the delegation and highlighted the initiatives taken by the Government of Sikkim to promote transparency, modernization, and community participation through cooperatives.
The delegation also shared insights from Uttarakhand on the functioning and expansion of cooperative institutions.
Emphasising the importance of mutual learning, the Hon’ble Minister suggested fostering greater collaboration between the two States through exchange of ideas, exposure visits, and sharing of work culture and administrative practices in the cooperative sector.
The meeting also had the presence of Pr. RCS cum Secretary, Cooperation, Registrar and officials of the Cooperation Department, Government of Sikkim.
