Tareythang MPCS Diversifies Business Activities; Launches First-of-its-Kind Beauty Salon in the State.
Pakyong, March 30: In a pioneering initiative, Tareythang Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society (MPCS) has diversified its business portfolio with the launch of a Beauty Salon—marking it as the first-of-its-kind initiative by a cooperative society in the state.
The MPCS is already actively engaged in a range of services including consumer retail business, Cash Kendra ( banking services ),Public Distribution System (PDS) and the operation of a Common Service Centre (CSC). The addition of the Beauty Salon reflects the society’s innovative approach towards meeting evolving community needs while promoting self-reliance and local enterprise.
This newly launched facility is expected to greatly benefit the women of the area by providing convenient access to grooming and wellness services within their locality . Furthermore , it opens up new avenues for skill development and employment generation , particularly for local youth and women , thereby contributing to economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
The inaugural event was attended by Officers from the Cooperation department and women members of Tareythang.
