CME on “Research Publications in Homoeopathy: Why, How, What and Where”
Successfully Organised in Gangtok
The Clinical Research Unit (Tribal) for Homoeopathy, Gangtok, under the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, successfully organised a two-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme titled “Research Publications in Homoeopathy: Why, How, What and Where” on 27th and 28th March 2026 at Denzong Regency.
The programme was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Subhash Kaushik, Director General of the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy and . K. C. Muraleedharan, Assistant Director (HQ) & Admin I/C, CCRH.
The CME was graced by Arjun Kumar Ghatani, Advisor, AYUSH Department, Government of Sikkim, as the Chief Guest, while Deena Chettri, OSD, AYUSH Department, Government of Sikkim, attended as the Guest of Honour.
The programme was organized under the leadership of Dr. Santosh Kumar Tamang, Officer-in-Charge of the Clinical Research Unit (Tribal) for Homoeopathy, Gangtok and Dr. Harleen Kaur, Research Officer (S2), CCRH Headquarters.
During the two-day academic programme, experts from different institutions delivered lectures on various aspects of scientific research, medical writing, and publication in indexed journals. The distinguished speakers included:
Dr. Ajit Singh, Founder & CEO, CliMed & Curio, Hyderabad, on Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Writing & Publications.
Dr. Albina A. Nair, Scientist D, ICMR and Executive Editor, Indian Journal of Medical Research on  Research Paper Submission: Write & Publish better: Beyond the dilemmas; Check Points and Journals’ Expectations.
Vijay Reddy, Senior Manager, Research Intelligence Solutions, Elsevier (Scopus) on Scopus: Database Review and Scoring.
Dr. Natasha Das, Healthcare Communicator and Medical Writer, on Enhancing the impact of your paper through better writing and wider reach.
Dr. Harleen Kaur, Research Officer (S2), CCRH Headquarters, on Understanding Journal Metrics & Scope and Work of Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy (IJRH).
Dr. Santhosh Kumar Tamang, Research Officer (S 2), OIC,CRU(T) Gangtok, Sikkim, on Case Reports in Homoeopathy: Bridging Clinical Practice and Research Evidence.
The CME aimed to enhance the research and publication skills of Homoeopathic practitioners and researchers by focusing on the importance of scientific documentation, research methodology, manuscript preparation, journal selection, and publication ethics.
The programme witnessed active participation from Research Officers and Medical Officers from Sikkim, along with other homoeopathic professionals. The sessions were interactive and provided valuable guidance to participants on transforming clinical experience into scientific publications.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of strengthening research culture and evidence-based practice in Homoeopathy and appreciated the efforts of CCRH and the Clinical Research Unit in promoting academic and research activities in the region.
Dr. Santosh Kumar Tamang expressed his gratitude to the Director General of CCRH for his mentorship and thanked all the dignitaries, speakers, delegates, and staff members for their support in making the CME a great success.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks acknowledging the contribution of all participants, organizing staff of the Clinical Research Unit (Tribal) for Homoeopathy, Gangtok, and the management and staff of Denzong Regency for their support and hospitality.
