Namchi, 27 March : The Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) proudly announces that Dr. Parita Basnet, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, has been awarded a prestigious research grant under the Research Promotion Scheme of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
The sanctioned grant of ₹35 lakhs will support the research project titled:
“Biosynthesised ZnO-Based Advanced Nanomaterials for the Photocatalytic Degradation of Pharmaceutical Contaminants, Including Antibiotics, Analgesics, and Antipyretics.”
Dr. Karma Hissey Lepcha, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, will contribute as Co-Investigator to this interdisciplinary research initiative.
This significant achievement reflects the continued academic excellence fostered under the mentorship and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) B.B. Pradhan, Principal-cum-Director, SIST, whose research leadership has been instrumental in this success.
