Namchi, 27 March : A two-day, hands-on training program, held from March 23 to 24, on the Roche Cobas e 411, a fully automated benchtop immunoassay analyser using electrochemiluminescence (ECL) technology for high-sensitivity testing, was successfully conducted in the Department of Biochemistry, Central Laboratory, District Hospital Namchi.
The training was supervised by Dr. Rabin Rai, HOD, Department of Biochemistry.
The Master trainer was Mr. Pranjal Kumar from Roche Diagnostics.
Attendees included Doctors, Senior TOs, and Lab technicians from the central laboratory, ensuring comprehensive skill-building.
The training has significantly strengthened the laboratory's capabilities, enabling faster and more precise testing. The Cobas e 411 covers a wide testing portfolio, including hormonal assays, fertility profiles, cancer markers, vitamin level estimation, procalcitonin, anemia markers, and bone markers.
This upgrade boosts the overall healthcare infrastructure in Namchi District and Sikkim State, aligning with the Government's vision for better healthcare facilities.
