Soreng, 25th March 2026 (DPO): A Coordination Meeting of the Soreng District Zilla Panchayat was convened on 25th March 2026 at the Conference Hall of the Soreng District Zilla Panchayat Bhawan. The meeting was chaired by the Hon’ble Zilla Adhakshya, Smt. Tila Devi Gurung, in the gracious presence of all Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Members.
The meeting was attended by Shri Kumar Subba, District Planning Officer (DPO); Shri Kamal Sharma, Assistant Engineer; Shri Tara Prasad Sharma, Accounts Officer and other officials and staff of Soreng District Zilla Panchayat.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by District Planning Officer Shri Kumar Subba, who expressed his gratitude to all dignitaries and underscored the importance of inter-departmental coordination for the effective implementation of developmental programmes in the district.
The programme also featured the inauguration of the newly established office of the Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Members by the Hon’ble Zilla Adhakshya. The meeting included detailed deliberations on the Annual Development Plan under the 15th Finance Commission.
The meeting primarily focused on the implementation of various developmental schemes, wherein issues and challenges faced at the field level were discussed comprehensively, along with practical and outcome-oriented solutions.
Shri Kumar Subba elaborated on implementation strategies and key administrative matters to ensure the effective execution of schemes. Shri Kamal Sharma highlighted critical engineering aspects and technical challenges while Shri Tara Prasad Sharma provided a detailed briefing on financial management and accounts related matters, emphasizing transparency, accountability and prudent utilization of public funds.
In her address, the Hon’ble Zilla Adhakshya Smt. Tila Devi Gurung appreciated the active participation of all members and officers. She reiterated her commitment to inclusive and sustainable development of Soreng District and urged all departments to work in close coordination with a strong sense of responsibility, integrity and dedication.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri Tara Prasad Sharma, Accounts Officer, who acknowledged the valuable contributions and cooperation of all participants.
The Coordination Meeting reaffirmed the collective resolve of the district administration and elected representatives to work in unison for the holistic and people-centric development of Soreng District.
