Namchi, 25 March : Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Kolkata, is organizing a Short Term Training Programme (STTP) on “Pedagogical Issues in Teaching–Learning” scheduled from 30th March to 3rd April 2026.
The programme is being conducted under the convenorship of Prof. (Dr.) B. B. Pradhan, Principal-cum-Director, SIST.
The programme is coordinated by Dr. Nirmal Kumar Mandal and Dr. Sukanta Kumar Naskar (NITTTR Kolkata), along with Ms. Uden K. Sherpa and Dr. Parita Basnet (SIST, Chisopani).
The programme aims to strengthen effective teaching practices, academic leadership, and outcome-based education in technical institutions by equipping participants with modern pedagogical approaches, practical strategies, and insights into quality assurance.
The training will cover key areas including institutional management, curriculum development, classroom management, instructional planning, laboratory practices, assessment techniques, integration of AI & Machine Learning in teaching, and NBA accreditation with CO–PO mapping.
The programme is intended for faculty members and academic support staff of polytechnic and undergraduate institutions involved in teaching–learning activities. Participants completing the training with a minimum of 80% attendance will be awarded a certificate by NITTTR.
The institute encourages eligible participants to register and benefit from this academic initiative.
