Opening of Breastfeeding Pod at Mangalbaria on 23.3.2026
A breastfeeding pod was inaugurated at Mangalbaria in the presence of Deputy Director, RDD, Mr. Manorat Rai; honourable Panchayat President, Mr. Niraj Dong, CDPO/DD Mrs. Gouri Tamang; Zone Supervisor, Mrs. Lalita Gurung; along with Social welfare inspectors, aganwadi workers, pregnant women and several nursing mothers.
On the occasion, Mrs. Gouri Tamang conducted a brief awareness session highlighting the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and encouraged beneficiaries to make proper use of the newly established breastfeeding pod.
In their short addresses, the Deputy Director, RDD, and the Panchayat President appreciated the initiative taken by the WCD and DWD departments and urged all beneficiaries to utilize the facility effectively.
A godhbharai ceremony was also organized for one pregnant mother as part of the program.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Anganwadi Worker, Mrs. Radha Gurung.
