Gyalshing,March 22:On 21 March 2026, personnel of the 72nd Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Yuksam, displayed exceptional alertness, courage, and prompt response in averting a potential major accident within their area of responsibility. Near Rimbi, a vehicle carrying tourists lost control and began slipping towards a steep hillside, posing a serious threat to the lives of those on board.
Recognising the gravity of the situation, the SSB personnel on duty acted swiftly and decisively, risking their own safety to stop the vehicle and prevent it from plunging into the gorge. Their timely intervention ensured that all passengers were rescued safely without any casualties.
