19-20th March, Patna: A three-member delegation, including Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Gangtok District, President -Polok Borong MPCS ltd and Manager -Rakdong Tintek MPCS ltd, is attending the NITI Aayog workshop on " Empowering Farmers' Collectives in Eastern India" with a focus on "Primary Agricultural Co-operative Societies at Patna,Bihar.
The two-day event is an initiative under the State Support Mission of the "NITI state workshop series ". The objective of the workshop is to analyse the strengths, challenges and emerging opportunities for PACS in Eastern India, including North Eastern States, as value chain institutions and to showcase digital, financial and policy innovation that can empower PACS as multi service rural institutions and value chain enterprises.
A presentation was also delivered by the ARCS, highlighting the " Best Practices " adopted by the Co-operative Societies in Sikkim.
