On March 20, 2026, the Advisor to the Power Department, accompanied by the Secretary (Power), attended the National Power Ministerial Meet held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. The high-level conference was chaired by the Union Minister of Power, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, and served as a critical platform for synchronising national energy policies and addressing the evolving challenges of the power sector.
The assembly featured a distinguished gathering of national and regional leadership, including the Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, the Minister of State for Power, and the Secretaries of both the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). State-level representation was equally robust, with the presence of the Governor of Punjab, the Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, and Power Ministers and Secretaries from across the states.
Further strengthening the technical and operational depth of the meet were the Chairmen and Managing Directors (CMDs) of major Central Public Sector Undertakings, including Power Grid, NHPC, REC, and NTPC. They were joined by the Managing Directors and heads of various state DISCOMs to deliberate on grid stability, infrastructure development, and the integration of renewable energy.
This collaborative forum facilitated a comprehensive dialogue between central policymakers and state-level stakeholders, aimed at ensuring a resilient and sustainable power future for the nation.
