SHG Members from Sikkim Participate in AmrutMitra Mahotsava at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
New Delhi, March 13, 2026: A team comprising of four Self Help Group (SHG) members from Sikkim, working under Amrut Amita, participated in the AmrutMitra Mahotsava held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The team was led by the State Nodal Officers of AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) and the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM).
The AmrutMitra Mahotsava brought together representatives, community leaders, and mission partners from across the country to celebrate grassroots initiatives that contribute to sustainable urban development and livelihood promotion.
The SHG members from Sikkim actively engaged with participants from various states, sharing their experiences and learning about innovative practices being implemented under the AMRUT and NULM missions. Their participation highlighted the important role played by Self Help Groups in strengthening community engagement and promoting inclusive urban development.
The event provided an important platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and recognition of the efforts of grassroots workers and community institutions who contribute significantly to urban transformation initiatives.
