OSD to Rural Development Department Conducts Surprise Visit to Nandok BAC; Reviews Ongoing Schemes in Syari Constituency
GANGTOK, March 12, 2026: Shri Krishna Lepcha, OSD to the Rural Development Department, conducted a surprise inspection of the Block Administrative Centre (BAC), Nandok, under the Syari Constituency today. The visit aimed to conduct a ground-level assessment of the implementation of various State and central government welfare schemes.
During the visit, the OSD held a detailed review meeting with the Block Development Officer (BDO), Shri T.T. Gensapa. The BDO briefed the OSD on the current status of key flagship programmes, including MGNREGA, PMGSY, JJM and the Swachh Bharat Mission, which are being executed in coordination with various line departments.
The OSD also reviewed the progress of individual beneficiary schemes under the State Government, such as the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana (SGAY), Sikkim Aama Sahayog, and House Upgradation projects.
Shri Lepcha expressed satisfaction with the pace of work, noting that the benefits of both Central and State schemes are effectively reaching the grassroots level in the Syari Constituency. He further commended BDO Shri T.T. Gen Sherpa and the team at BAC Nandok for their dedication and the efficient functioning of the block office.
