Today, under the chairmanship of Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim Mr. Om Prakash Mathur, the water resources department of the Rajasthan Government organised the foundation stone laying ceremony of the restoration and raising work of 'Futia Small Irrigation Project' at Futia dam located in Bali Assembly constituency of Pali district.
On this occasion, the Hon'ble Governor said that the renovation and raising work of the Futia Minor Irrigation Project is very important in terms of rural development and water management. He applauded the efforts of the Rajasthan government and expressed special gratitude to Hon'ble Chief Minister Mr. Bhajan Lal Sharma that this project will prove extremely beneficial for regional farmers, increasing irrigation capacity and giving a new direction to agricultural production.
This project is being completed with an approved amount of ₹15.50 crore under the budget announcement of the year 2024-25.
This scheme will increase the dam's full capacity up to 120 MCFT and its water plant will expand to 710 hectares.
Rajya Sabha MP and State President BJP Mr. Madan Rathore, was present as the Chief Guest in the function.
Mr. Suresh Singh Rawat, Cabinet Minister of Water Resources Department, Government of Rajasthan, Mr. P.P. Chaudhary, MP Pali, and MLA Bali Mr. Pushpendra Singh Ji Ranawat, also registered his presence as a special guest.
