Namchi, 6 March : The Students’ Training Programme (Batch 2) under Sarathi 1.0 (Supported by Titan Company Limited) was successfully conducted on 5th and 6th March 2026 at the Community Hall, Ravangla.
A total of 36 students from 9 schools participated in the programme. The participating schools were PM Shri VCGL SSS, PM Shri Tingmoo SS, Kewzing SSS, Borong SS, Lower Rayong SS, C.M. Rai Secondary School (Jarrong), C.M. Rai Secondary School (Ralong), Sanganath SS, and Sangmoo SS.
The programme aimed to create awareness on addiction prevention and promote mental well-being among students, in alignment with the vision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) to build an addiction-free and mentally healthy society, under the guidance of Shri Rohit Raj Maharaj, Advisor to HCM and Chief Resource Person of Sarathi 1.0.
On Day 1, the programme included a welcome session, ice-breaking activities, group discussions on situation analysis, cultural performances, and a skit competition, encouraging active participation from students.
On Day 2, the programme was anchored by Ms. Anzila Y and included ice-breaking activities, group exercises, cultural presentations such as song, poetry and dance, and a session on Moral Values by Miss Tila Rupa Chettri (Soreng Coordinator),a session on mental health by Mrs Ashmita Tamang (Chief Coordinator).Mr. Bishal Sharma, Project Director of Sarathi 1.0, also addressed the students and encouraged them to promote positive choices and healthy lifestyles.
The programme concluded with certificate distribution, marking the successful completion of the two-day training programme.
