Empowering Border Youth: 72nd Battalion SSB Concludes 6-Day Mobile Repairing Training Programme.
Gyalshing,March 6:In a significant step toward fostering self-reliance among border youth, the 72nd Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Yuksom, successfully concluded a 06-day Mobile Repairing Training Programme,under the 'Civic Action Programme'on March 5.
The valedictory ceremony was held under the esteemed presence of Shri Narayan Ram Khadaw, Second-in-Command, 72nd Battalion SSB.
The event was graced by Shri Dinesh Gurung, Zilla Member 13/ Dentam Begha Territorial Constituency, as the Chief Guest , and Shri Bhim Chauhan, Principal of the Govt Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Gyalshing, alongside local representatives and senior SSB officials as esteemed guests.
This initiative transcends traditional vocational training; it is a strategic effort to transform the youth of border regions from 'job seekers' to 'job creators'.
During his inspiring address, the Chief Guest encouraged participants to utilize their newly acquired technical skills to establish their own businesses and become self-reliant.
To ensure the trainees could immediately put their skills into practice, officials distributed completion certificates and professional toolkits to all participants. The SSB leadership reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining such initiatives in the future, promising continued collaboration between the Sashastra Seema Bal and the District Administration to technically empower the local youth.
