Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Om Prakash Mathur celebrated Holi with the brave soldiers of 13th Battalion, ITBP, Lingdong settlement today.
Governor Sir planted rang-gulal, distributed sweets and communicated with the soldiers. During this time, officers and soldiers, including Rajendra Singh Rajput, Second in Command and Officer Commanding 13th Battalion ITBP, were present.
Hon'ble Governor said that I wish to celebrate Holi with all of you. Feeling proud to have this opportunity today. He further said that you are away from your family by staying deployed in the security of the country, so that the nation stays safe. You are the real form of the feeling of 'country first' and the border area is safe because of you.
The Governor also said that it is a matter of pride and honour to celebrate the festival with you. This festival of colours brings new energy and inspiration today.
The soldiers expressed their gratitude to the Governor. The spirit of joy, patriotism and brotherhood was circulated throughout the environment.
