As part of its continued efforts to promote innovation and self-reliance in the district, “Strengthening Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” is one of the several key interventions of the District Administration, Gangtok, under the banner of Sikkim INSPIRES. The initiative aims to identify promising business ideas and nurture them into sustainable enterprises.
The judging panel will comprise established local entrepreneurs who have also actively contributed as mentors and speakers in workshops conducted under Project PAILA. Their expertise will ensure constructive feedback, professional evaluation, and valuable guidance for participants.
The pitching session is open to all aspiring entrepreneurs/innovators with multiple winners selected through a structured evaluation process, who will receive seed funding/grants, strictly subject to the availability of funds under Sikkim INSPIRES, to support the initial stages of their startups.
Participants will be required to prepare a concise DPR/presentation detailing their business concept, implementation strategy, and potential impact, and present it before the panel of judges.
Participants may register for the pitching session by scanning the QR code provided or by sending a WhatsApp message to the number mentioned in the video advert, posters, and standees placed across Gangtok district.
Participants who may not meet the specified criteria during the pitching session are encouraged not to feel discouraged, as the DAC team remains committed to supporting and guiding entrepreneurs by connecting them with other suitable schemes and opportunities aligned with their aspirations.
