72nd Battalion SSB Yuksam Launches 7-Day Mobile Repairing Training Workshop in Dentam.
Gyalshing,February 28:In a significant step toward rural empowerment and skill development, Shri Jai Prakash, Commandant of the 72nd Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Yuksam, officially inaugurated a seven-day Mobile Repairing Training Workshop at the Gram Panchayat Unit in Dentam today.
The opening ceremony was graced by several high-ranking officials and local leaders, including Shri Narayan Ram Khadaw, Second-in-Command, 72nd Bn SSB;Shri Meghnath Rout, Deputy Commandant, 72nd Bn SSB; Shri Mahendra Gurung, Panchayat President, Dentam and Shri Bhim Bahadur Chuwhan, Principal, Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Gyalshing.
The workshop is specifically designed for 15 local participants selected from four Vibrant Villages within the Battalion’s area of responsibility: Dentam, Begha, Sopakha, and Karmatar.
The primary objectives of this initiative are:
• Self-Employment: Providing local youth with technical skills to open their own repair outlets.
• Self-Reliance: Promoting the spirit of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' at the grassroots level.
• Income Generation: Introducing modern livelihoods to enhance the economic stability of rural families.
Technical Training:
During the week-long session, participants will receive comprehensive hands-on training in modern mobile repair techniques, hardware troubleshooting, and software diagnostics. This technical expertise aims to bridge the gap between rural talent and urban technological demands.
The 72nd Battalion, Yuksam, continues to prioritize regional development and community welfare. Through such public utility programmes, the SSB remains dedicated to fostering a sense of security and prosperity among the border populations, ensuring that the youth are equipped for a brighter, more independent future.
