Gyalshing,February 25:The 72nd Battalion, SSB, Yuksam, organised a School Safety and Community Awareness Programme at PM Shri Government Junior High School, Darapthang,today.
The event aimed to enhance community resilience and emergency preparedness.
Shri Narayan Ram Khadaw, Second-in-Command, 72nd Bn, guided the programme. Around 83 participants, including 50 students and 25 teachers, attended the session.
Practical demonstrations and training on disaster management, forest fire response, and CPR were provided. The SSB team also conducted hands-on training on life-saving techniques.
The initiative was a joint effort with DDMA Gyalshing, Forest Department, PPHF, and Civil Welfare Institutes. Participants appreciated the SSB's proactive approach and expressed gratitude. The school administration thanked the 72nd Battalion SSB for their commitment to public safety.
The event reflected the SSB's dedication to "Seva, Suraksha, and Bandhutva".
