The outlet was formally inaugurated by Minister of Rural Development & Cooperative Department, Mr Arun Kumar Upreti,  in the presence of Mr Anil Raj Rai, IAS, Secretary, Rural Development Department, Chairpersons SHGs,& OSD, along with Mr R.B. Bhandari CEO/SRLM,
Ms.Tshering Laden Lachungpa, Special Secretary cum PD Mgnerga, Ms Koshi Kapil, Special Secretary cum MD SBMG, Ms Neelam Rai, Chief Engineer and other Senior Officials of Rural Development Department, including the staff of State Management Unit  SMMU SRLM.
The primary objective of the newly inaugurated outlet is to provide a dedicated platform for the display and sale of products manufactured by Self Help Groups across Sikkim. The centre will serve as a centralised marketing facility to promote SHG products and strengthen their access to wider markets.
This outlet will significantly ease the marketing process for SHG members. Under this system, SHG members can deliver their products to the centre, and once the products are sold, they will receive the payment directly. This initiative provides a structured, reliable marketing channel, exclusively facilitated by Sikkim SRLM, to support rural entrepreneurs.
The establishment of this aggregation and sales outlet marks a major step towards empowering SHGs by ensuring better market linkage, enhanced income opportunities, and sustainable livelihood support.
Sikkim SRLM further plans to introduce more accessible and innovative marketing channels in the future to strengthen the marketing ecosystem for SHG products across the state.
