Namchi, 25 February : Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) had the honour of welcoming Shri. Raju Basnet, Hon’ble Minister for Education, Sports & Youth Affairs, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, along with senior officials from the Education Department.
The distinguished delegation included Shri Sandeep Tambe, Principal Secretary, Education Department; Smt. Bibhuti Pradhan, Special Secretary, Education Department; Shri Yogendra Pradhan, Superintendent Engineer, along with other senior officers and accompanying officials.
The dignitaries were received by Prof. Dr. B.B. Pradhan, Principal cum Director, Sikkim Institute of Science and Technology. During their visit, the delegation toured the institute’s laboratories, library, and other academic and infrastructural facilities. They interacted with faculty members and officials, reviewed institutional resources, and observed ongoing academic and developmental initiatives.
The visit underscores the Government’s continued focus on strengthening technical education and infrastructure development in the state. The institute remains committed to upholding high academic standards and continually improving its facilities to deliver quality education to its students.
