Educational Monitoring Visit to Aspirational Schools in Gyalshing District.
Gyalshing,February 21:A team led by Mr Pema Gyaltshen Bhutia, Chief Education Officer(CEO), Gyalshing, conducted an educational monitoring visit to several schools in the district on February 20.
The delegation included Ms Parumita Rai (Principal, DIET), Mr Dhiraj Chhetri (DIET faculty), Assistant Director (Yuksam BEO), Assistant Director (Chongrang BEO), and officials from Yuksam and Chongrang BACs.
The team visited Mangtabong PS, Tingting PS, and Upper Gerethang JHS, which are the designated aspirational schools under the two blocks, as well as Lethang PS, identified as one of the best‑performing schools. During the visit, they reviewed progress, interacted with students and teachers, and observed classroom practices.
This visit is a continuation of the initiative by the District Education Office, Gyalshing, and DIET Gyalshing to visit both aspirational and high‑performing schools, capture best and innovative practices, and identify challenges faced by teachers, students, and school management. The collaborative effort aims to uncover and bridge gaps in pedagogy, assessment, and school management, ultimately improving students’ academic performance.
The visit also assessed the implementation of ongoing academic initiatives and discussed areas for further improvement.
