Gyalshing, February 19:The 72nd Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Yuksam, in collaboration with the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA)Gyalshing and the Public Participation in Humanitarian Forum (PPHF), organised a 'School Safety Programme' (SSP) and 'Community Awareness Programme' (CAP) at Govt Secondary School,Labdang and GSS, Karjee,today.
Under the guidance of Shri Narayan Ram Khadab, Second-in-Command, 72nd Battalion, SSB, the event demonstrated life-saving techniques during disasters. 252 participants, including 58 teachers and 143 students, attended the programme.
The SSB personnel's disciplined and proficient performance was highly appreciated. The initiative aimed to make the community aware and self-reliant in disaster management.
