Lokbhavan: Sikkim

Today celebration of the State Foundation Day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram was organised at Lok Bhavan, Sikkim. This event took place under the initiative of the Government of India 'Ek India, Shrestha India'.
During the program, audio-video films featuring the rich culture, history, heritage, cuisine and tourist destinations of both states were presented. Honourable Governor General of Mizoram (Dr.), on this occasion, Vijay Kumar Singh's message was also telecast.
Shri Divas Gautam, Joint Secretary of the Governor, highlighting both the states, said this opportunity provides us the opportunity to further strengthen mutual social, economic and cultural bonds, especially in terms of unity and progress of the North East region.
Hon'ble Governor's ADC Mr. Santosh Bania also expressed his views and said that Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram are the symbol of India's rich cultural heritage. The glorious tradition of literature, folk arts, festivals, sports and craftsmanship of both states is a reflection of unity in the diversity of our great nation.
Officers, employees and security personnel of Lokbhavan were present in the program.
