Gangtok, January 21: The third and final meeting of the Drafting Committee for formulation of the Sikkim State Cooperative Policy was held at the Conference Hall of the Cooperation Department.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of PRCS-cum-Secretary, Cooperation Department. The draft Sikkim State Cooperative Policy was presented by Joint Registrar before the Committee, followed by detailed deliberations and discussions on various provisions and policy measures incorporated in the draft.
The meeting was attended by Chairman -Sikkim State Cooperative Union, Registrar- Cooperation Department, GM NABARD, MD Denzong Agricultural Cooperative Society, and representatives from SISCO Bank, Fisheries Department, Horticulture Department, Sikkim Milk Union,SIMFED along with officers of the Cooperation Department.
The Committee members actively participated in the discussions and offered valuable suggestions and inputs for strengthening the draft policy. The observations and recommendations made during the meeting were noted for appropriate incorporation, with a view to finalizing the Sikkim State Cooperative Policy.
