CAR–NRCO trains Stakeholders from Arunachal Pradesh on Cymbidium Orchid Production
Five Progressive farmers from West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh were trained on the production technology of Cymbidium orchids in a training program organized at ICAR-NRC for Orchids, Pakyong. The three-day training program began today with technical session on the cultural requirement, nutrition and pest management in Cymbidium orchids by Scientists of ICAR-NRCO. Farmers were also taken to practical session of the potting, repotting and irrigation management at the seedling stage where they experienced by their hand on the management aspects. Farmers are in three-day training visit and interaction with the Cymbidium growers from Sikkim and Darjeeling Himalayas. Training program is coordinated by Dr. Kalaivanan, N, S, Scientist & Nodal Officer with Mr. Prem Khimre, DHO of West Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh.
