Soreng, January 7: The District Collector, Soreng, Mr Dhiraj Subedi, conducted a site inspection of the Digital Nomad Village Project at Gumpa Dara to review the progress of construction works and assess compliance with approved plans, technical specifications, and implementation guidelines.
Inspection Details:
Mr Dhiraj Subedi, accompanied by his team, visited the project site and carried out a comprehensive physical inspection of the ongoing construction activities being undertaken by the homestay owners and implementing stakeholders.
Observations:
During the inspection, the following observations were made:
• Construction work at the site is presently in progress.
• The overall progress of work was found to be satisfactory, indicating effective utilisation of the first instalment of the mobilisation fund.
• Initial structural works and site preparations are being executed in alignment with the project objectives.
• The site conditions and layout demonstrate potential for future expansion, subject to proper planning and adherence to prescribed technical norms.
Instructions Issued:
During the course of the inspection, the District Collector issued the following instructions:
1. Compliance with Approved Drawings: All construction activities must strictly adhere to the drawings and designs approved by the concerned technical authorities.
2. Technical Standards and Quality Control: Construction works must maintain prescribed technical standards, quality of workmanship, and durability to ensure long-term sustainability.
3. Provision for Future Expansion: Executing agencies and homestay owners were directed to plan and execute construction in a manner that allows scope for future expansion without compromising structural integrity or layout.
4. Financial Utilisation: Homestay owners were advised to ensure proper, transparent, and judicious utilisation of the first instalment of the mobilisation fund.
Mobilisation Fund Status:
It was clarified that the second instalment of the mobilisation fund will be released only after the first instalment has been fully utilised and duly accounted for, in accordance with approved financial guidelines and on-ground progress of the project.
Conclusion:
The inspection concluded that the Digital Nomad Village Project at Gumpa Dara is progressing in the right direction. Continued adherence to approved technical drawings, construction norms, and financial guidelines will be crucial for the timely completion and successful implementation of the project.
Present during the inspection were ADC Soreng, Mr DR Bista, Officials and the technical team from the Tourism Department.
