Champions Cup Futsal Tournament gets underway in Mangan

Mangan, Jan 6 (IPR): The Champions Cup Futsal tournament commenced from today at the Futsal Arena, Mangan, under the theme - “Vocal For Local Talents".
Organised by Northerners FC, the tournament will have 46 football teams participating. The five-a-side tournament has become an annual feature to promote sporting culture in the State and encourage and scout local football talent.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by Chairman, Tourism & Civil Aviation Department, Mr Norgay Lachungpa, alongside OSD Lachen Mangan, Mr Tshering Wangyal Bhutia, DFO (T) Mangan, Mr Manzil Kharel, and other dignitaries.
The first match was held between Nampatam FC and Laven FC, which the latter won by 4-3.
The second match was played between Lachen FC and Lachung Boys, in which Lachen FC won with the score 5-1.
