Felicitation Programme for Best Individual Household Latrine and Best Community Sanitary Complex Held at DAC Gangtok.
Gangtok, 10 December 2025: The Office of the ADC/Dev, Rural Development Department, Government of Sikkim, successfully conducted a Felicitation Programme to honour the Best Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) and Best Community Sanitary Complex (CSC) under the Hamara Shauchalaya, Hamara Bhavisya (HSHB) Campaign 2025 today at the Conference Hall of the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Gangtok in align with the World Toilet Day 2025 theme, “ Sanitation in a Changing World”.
The HSHB campaign aims to assess and enhance the functionality, operation, maintenance, and sustainability of all Individual Household Latrines and Community Sanitary Complexes across the state.
The programme was presided over by the District Collector, Gangtok, who presented certificates to the best five IHHL awardees and three best CSCs in the district. Other dignitories who attended the programme were, ADC/Dev., RDD Gangtok District, District Planning Officer, Zilla Office Gangtok, Deputy Director(PRI), BDOs , AD(PRI) and Panchayat Inspectors/Block Coordinators (SBMG), Swachagrahis and SBMG Staffs of the ADC/Dev. under Gangtok District. Elected representatives present were Panchayat Presidents from Ranka GPU and Namli GPU.

2. CSC at Sakyong JHS, 08/Chisopani GPU, Khamdong Block
3. CSC near Haat Bazaar Rey, 15/Rey Mendu GPU, Ranka Block
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all attendees for making it a success.
