Namchi, 28 November: The second day of the Blooming Yangang Festival unfolded with tremendous energy and participation, bringing together dignitaries, athletes, community members, and visitors to celebrate the spirit of Yangang.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Shri C.L. Gurung, Advisor, Food Processing Department. Other distinguished guests included Chairman, IFFCO Organics, Shri R.K. Basnet; Social Worker, Shri Subhash Tamang; OSD, Smt. Denkila Bhutia; BDO Yangang; CLC President, Shri Tengayla Namka; State Level GS (Culture Wing), Shri Das Tamang; Social Media Coordinator to the Hon’ble Party President, Shri Milan Basnet; District Level Nari Wing, Smt. Pramila Tamang; Namchi District Youth Convenor, Shri Tshering Topden Bhutia; CLC Youth Convenor Shri Anil Gurung,CLC Advisor, Shri R.S. Bhandari; Youth Wings, Nari Wings, respected Panchayats, contractors, departmental heads, SKM party karyakartas, and several committed social workers.
A major highlight of Day 2 was the 10K Marathon, which saw enthusiastic participation from runners across the region. The event showcased outstanding performances, celebrating winners in the Open Men and Open Women categories. The marathon served as a testament to the community’s growing interest in sports, fitness, and collective celebration.
The Blooming Yangang Festival continues to provide a vibrant platform for local entrepreneurs, SHGs, youth, and cultural groups to display their talents and products. Day 2 further reinforced the festival’s vision of promoting grassroots participation, creating economic opportunities, and positioning Yangang as an emerging hub for tourism, culture, and sports.
