Press Release From Temi Autumn festival organizing committee 2025

On the eleventh day of the Temi Autumn Festival 2025, the Autumn Football Organizing Committee hosted the 2nd Semi-Final match of the Men’s Open Football Tournament – Lt. Chingden Sherpa Memorial Cup.
The programme began with the arrival of the chief guest, Shri Sonam Pincho Bhutia, Principal Director, Animal Husbandry Department, Government of Sikkim. He was accompanied by his wife, Smt. T. Ongmu Bhutia, Additional Director, Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Namchi, who graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The chief guest lit the ceremonial lamp, formally inaugurating the day’s events.
Dance teams from different schools performed vibrant cultural numbers, after which the chief guest presented a token of love to the team leaders. The Organizing Committee also felicitated the chief guest in recognition of his presence and support.
The programme was hosted by Shri Dilliram Poudyal, Social Worker, who urged the audience not to throw plastics or papers and to maintain cleanliness by using dustbins, supporting the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan theme.
The Men’s Open Football Tournament carries attractive prizes, with the winners receiving ₹3 lakh and the runners-up ₹2 lakh.
The 2nd Semi-Final was played between Sunakhare Samaj and Share Football Club, where Sunakhare Samaj delivered a strong performance, winning 6–0. The local crowd from Temiw and Namphing enthusiastically enjoyed the match.
The final match is scheduled between JHS and Sunakhare Samaj on 16th November 2025, to be held at Lamaytar Ground, Temi Tea Garden.
