Today, on 6th November 2025, the Hon’ble Chairman, Sikkim Welfare Board, Shri Sonam Chophel, Principal Secretary, Education Department, Shri Sandeep Tambe, Secretary, School Education, Shri Tashi Chophel, Secretary, Engineering Cell, Shri Chetraj Misra, and other officers of the Department inspected various schools — Rangpo Mining Senior Secondary School, Rangpo Chanatar School, and Jorethang Senior Secondary School.
During the visit, the team observed classroom teaching–learning interactions under the Special Numeracy Programme (SNP). Noting the students’ grasp and comprehension of mathematical concepts among Classes I and II, the Principal Secretary expressed satisfaction and encouraged teachers to share these effective practices with their peers.
The team also visited the Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Centre of Excellence at Chakung to take stock of the progress of ongoing works. Representatives of the implementing agency were also present.
